About the band

The Flaxmere Ceilidh Band comprises accordion, fiddle and guitar and we play a mixture of Celtic and English music for listening and dancing. The band is successful and well established with the current line-up playing together for over 10 years. Our traditional sound varies during the ceilidh or barn dance as we use other instruments such as mandolin, bouzouki and cittern. Our regular caller is one of the best in the north west, and his enthusiasm is infectious!

Importantly, we are first and foremost a dance band. We enjoy playing and you will enjoy the dancing.

We will be happy to provide the music whether it is for an informal session with friends, a small function or a large corporate event. We have lots of experience playing at weddings, birthdays, and family celebrations, see the reviews page.
