Thank you so much for giving us such a fantastic time
at our wedding. Everyone has commented on what a great
time they had and how having a ceilidh band was a stroke
of genius. It brought together all the age groups and
we all had such a laugh, it's a shame you couldn't have
played into the wee hours.. the night flew by. Our wedding
was perfect and you played a big part in contributing.

Just a quick note to thank you and the rest of Flaxmere
for helping to make our Ruby Wedding such a joyous occasion.
Everyone seemed to enjoy themselves immensely - and
even those who consider themselves too old or unfit
to dance, thoroughly enjoyed the music. We had a wonderful
time.

I am writing to say a massive thank you for making
our daughters wedding reception very special on the
9th July 2010. As you know, she has married a Scotsman
to whom the ceilidh is very much part and parcel of
life. I can honestly say that the Scottish contingent
were very impressed with your playing as were the rest
of the guests.
You certainly met and exceeded our expectations, its
all credit to the skill of the caller that you were
able to encourage some of the more reluctant dancers
onto the floor. Everyone was having such a good time
that we felt that we could have danced for the rest
of the night.
I know that Philippa & Craig certainly enjoyed themselves
and your presence and playing made a special evening
even more special. So once again, many thanks, we shall
have no hesitation in recommending you to anyone organising
a similar event.

Dear Flaxmere,
I'm writing to say thank you ever so much for playing
at our wedding at the Inn at Whitewell on Saturday 30th
January 2010.
Never having seen you before, we were a little nervous
what we might get. But what we had read and heard on
your website was absolutely spot on. A number of people
came up to us on the night and in the days to follow
asking who you were, how did we hear of you and so on.
The ultimate accolade came from the Inn's own event's
organiser. She said that you are the best ceilidh band
she has ever seen and could we please send her your
details (that will be my next email). So, I hope you
may be playing there again soon.
Once again, many thanks for such a great evening, we
are now trying to think of another excuse to have a
ceildh!

Dear Val,
Just a line to say a massive big 'thank you' to you
all for a night of terrific music (21.11.09). I had
the time of my life and enjoyed every minute of it.
I loved how practically everyone, young and old, were
up dancing. A really memorable night, thanks to your
input. We will live off these memories for a while yet
and by then we may even have thought up another reason
to have yet another ceilidh!

Thought you would appreciate an update on the Charity
night last Saturday night (9 May 09). It was a fantastic
evening with 97 people in attendance. The figure to
date to be shared equally between Cancer Research and
the Stroke Association is £1,038.04. I am expecting
a few more donations this week so will finalise numbers
at the weekend. Everyone in enjoyed the Ceilidh so thank
you very much to all.

Hi Val,
Just wanted to say thank you so much for the fantastic
music you did for us at our Arley Hall wedding in January
2009 - we've just got back from honeymoon, so apologies
for not being in touch sooner. The band was brilliant,
everyone said how much they enjoyed it and honestly
the calling surpassed anything I've seen in Scotland
- you didn't just tell us how to do it, you got everyone
involved and that was just brilliant.

and enjoyable atmosphere at Robert & Debbie's wedding

Hi there. We are now back home after a lovely
honeymoon in Mexico and are trying to get back to normality!
I just wanted to send you a quick note to thank you
so much for a fantastic ceilidh on 7th June. It was
an absolute delight to have Mhairi's wedding as our
first dance and the rest of the ceilidh continued in
the super way that it started. You got everyone involved
without making anyone feel pressured and everyone commented
on what great fun it was - from the seasoned ceilidh-goers
from up here to the first-timers from south of the border!!
I realise Dad threw you a bit of a curve-ball in the
first dance when he announced my aunt's Scottish dancing
credentials but you took it all in your stride and I
know she had a great time too!!
Thank you for helping to make our day so special, it
was everything we had hoped for and more.

What can I say, you were absolutely brilliant! Everyone
